  • To keep a constant eye and vigilance over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence.

Abiding by the recommendation of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the College has to represent an Antiragging Cell to save the learners from any form of ragging inside the College.

Any of the following acts fall under the purview of ragging.

  • Any form of Teasing or Behaving in a rude and unfitting way.
  • Any act of creating Hardship, Physical or Mental Stress or Fear which disturbs the getting to know ecosystem of the students.
  • Any act of Physical Abuse or Assault causing Harm or Danger to Health.
  • Any Act of abuse through spoken phrases, e-mails, SMS, public insult, or thru Social Media Platforms.
  • Any Act that violates the fundamental right to human dignity.
  • The Act of molesting or committing unnatural offences or any illegal conspiracy or assembly to be able to Ragging.

Abiding by the recommendation of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the College has to represent an Antiragging Cell to save the learners from any form of ragging inside the College.

OBJECTIVES:

The Anti-Ragging cell is supposed to make sure that the campus is free from Ragging. The committee's main function is to spread information against any kind of ragging issued by The Honorable Supreme Court of India, UGC and the esteemed Wavoo Wajeeha Women’s College of Arts and Science. To educate people about gender respect, human dignity and moral and ethical values. To look into the complaints lodged by the students on any kind of ragging. To come up with strategies for discouraging and preventing Ragging.

PUNISHMENTS:

Any student who is proven to have engaged in ragging within the college premises may face one or more of the below-mentioned consequences.

  • The disciplinary action of being temporarily expelled from the educational institution.
  • Prohibiting individuals from participating in internal and university examinations.
  • Cancellation of Admission and Mandatory Transfer Certificate.
  • Any penalty or monetary sanction imposed by the Legal Authority.
