To facilitate the students of Information Technology to pursue post graduate studies which in turn offer them job opportunities and research pursuits.
Information Technology department was started in the academic year 2008. students. 8 batches of 365 students have graduated and received their Bachelor’s degrees till date.
B.Sc I.T is a job oriented course that caters to the needs of the IT Industry. IT Industry has had its phases of gloom. By studying B.Sc. IT course will help one acquire sound IT skills that will help her gain a decent job in the IT sector.

Department of Information Techonology and Computer science Jointly Organized A one day State Level Seminar On “Internet Of Things (IOT)” on 17.08.2017 in collaboration with ICT Academy. Mr.M.P.Jegadessan,M.E.,Senior Technical Trainer from ICT Academy was the resource person. He discussed how things are controlled by internet in the current era and he demonstrated the IOT concepts with Intel Edison Kit. Nearly 95 Students , 8 Faculty members and 2 Scholars from neighboring Institution across the District have been benefitted out of this technical Session.
The Department of Computer Science and the Department of Information Technology of Wavoo Wajeeha Women’s College jointly organized a State Level Seminar on “Ethics of Social Media Analytics” on 28th August 2018 between 9.30am and 4.00pm. The Seminar was presided over by our Founder President Alhaj Wavoo.S.Seyed Abdur Rahman. 180 students, 9 faculty members and one Research scholar from neighbouring institution across the district attended this Seminar.
Dr. S. Shajun Nisha MCA., M.Tech., MBA., M.Phil., Ph.D. Research Department Head, and Head of PG Dept. of Computer Science, Sadakathullah Appa College, Tirunelveli was the chief guest of the morning session. She discussed the Ethics of Social Media, with live examples. She made the audience to realize impact of social media in the current scenario. In the afternoon session, Dr. M. Gethsiyal Augasta, MCA., M.Phil., Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Kamaraj College, Tuticorin addressed the gathering. Attendees were introduced with Tools and Techniques of Analytics of bigdata.
