National Service Scheme (NSS)
On September 24, 1969, the National Service Scheme (NSS) was formally launched in an effort to forge a significant connection between the school and the community. The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, understood that before the student youth were inspired to work for the enhancement of the villages/community, the nation was unable to grow in the correct way. Gandhiji believed that the villages, where nearly all of the population lived represented the nation. Therefore, it was considered appropriate for the students and teachers to be adequately sensitized and utilized for improving the Indian society as a whole with a particular focus on rural community for the purpose of national rebuilding and national rebirth. Thus, the three fundamental elements of education are believed to be students, teachers, and the community.
Vision
The goal is to develop youngsters who are both intellectually and spiritually capable of improving society and led community service activities
